Terms of Service - 71Five VoTech

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the 71Five VoTech Student Database (“the Service”), operated by Youth 71Five Ministries (“71Five,” “we,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Service is a web-based student management platform used to track enrollment, attendance, certifications, and related program data for 71Five’s Vocational Technical Program. Access is restricted to authorized staff, volunteers, and partner organizations.

3. User Accounts

Access is granted via Google OAuth authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. You must not share your account access or allow unauthorized individuals to use the Service through your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

Use the Service only for its intended purpose of managing vocational program data
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to minors’ data
Not attempt to access data beyond your authorized scope
Not export, copy, or share student data outside the Service without authorization
Report any security concerns or data breaches immediately to your supervisor

5. Data Handling

The Service contains sensitive information about minors, including personally identifiable information. All users must handle this data in accordance with 71Five’s data handling policies and applicable privacy laws. Unauthorized disclosure of student data may result in immediate termination of access and legal action.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its content are the property of Youth 71Five Ministries. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during the term of your authorization.

7. Termination

71Five reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. 71Five does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 71Five shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. SMS/Text Message Terms

SMS/text message consent is explicit and optional. Consent is collected during enrollment by selecting SMS/text as a preferred contact method or by checking the SMS consent checkbox. Consent is not required to participate in the VoTech program. For students under 18, parent or guardian consent is required.

By providing consent, you agree to receive text messages from Youth 71Five Ministries / 71Five VoTech related to the Vocational Technical Program. Messages may include:

Enrollment confirmations
Class and session reminders
Schedule changes and program updates
Daily check-ins
Attendance and check-in links
Appointment reminders
Milestone reminders
Follow-up surveys

Message Frequency: Frequency varies based on your program schedule. Typically 1–5 messages per week during active enrollment.

Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. 71Five does not charge for text messages, but your carrier may.

Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message to opt out of text notifications. You may also change your contact preference to “email” in the program application or by contacting your case manager.

Opt-In: Reply START to re-subscribe to text notifications after opting out.

Carriers: Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most major US carriers. Service may not be available on all carriers.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

By providing your phone number and opting in, you confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the phone number provided and that you agree to receive text messages at that number. For students under 18, a parent or guardian must provide consent during the enrollment process.

11. Changes to Terms

71Five may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. If material changes are made, you will be asked to re-accept the updated Terms.
